It feels like such a long time since I photographed Lauren and Ieuan's engagement shoot in the Brecon Beacons and even longer since we first met. So after getting to know each and bonding over parenting in the pandemic I felt I already knew them really well. Having also been a guest many times at DeCourseys I couldn't wait to finally photograph their wedding at such a beautiful venue.
I drove up to Cardiff early from Carmarthenshire to get a final look of the venue and then spent the morning capturing candids and documenting the bridal party's preparation. It's a part of the day where, aside form a few key moments, I try to be as unobtrusive as possible and look for natural moments between family and friends. With Lauren's expert planning and everything being in place, the morning was super relaxed so photographing it was a pleasure.
At DeCourseys, we were greeted with glorious weather for the rest of the day. So, with such a photogenic venue, we were spoilt for choice for locations. Combining this with a couple so in love, we ended up with really beautiful photos.
