Getting Ready
From start to finish, Shelby & Aaron's day was so fun to photograph. The relaxed vibe, beautiful details and a stunning setting meant that telling the story of the day and capturing beautiful imagery was a joy. The day started with Shelby and the girls at Ewenny Isaf Farm house but with the boys only 5 minutes away I was able to dash over get some candids of Aaron giving his groomsmen gifts.
The Boys
Cobbles Kitchen
Ceremony
We headed to Cobbles Kitchen for the ceremony, a beautiful grade 2 listed barn outside Ewenny in Bridgend. The barn is as rustic as they come and a short drive to Southerndown Beach.
Groups
I knew this group wouldn't be content with your standard group shots and we found a patch of grass and had some fun with the smoke bombs. Pairing the smoke bomb colour with the bridesmaids dresses was a nice touch that made the photos pop.
Shelby & Aaron
I'd already shot Aaron & Shelby's engagement shoot and the two knew the score when it came to how I do things with couple photos. It's a bit of walking with the odd prompt here and there that I choose to get the most natural reactions with all those in between candid moments captured to tell the story. The setting and soft light made the short drive to Southerndown totally worth it.
Evening
There was no surprise that the dance floor was bouncing with the Wild Sons supplying the music. When this happens the only way forward to get good pictures is to get involved! What a day. Congratulations Shelby & Aaron!
