GETTING READY

The day started at Cefneithin where Rhian, her bridesmaids and family were getting ready. I hade a lovely welcome and I began by photographing special details and capturing candids. This is always one of my favourite part of the day as there's so much excitement and lot's of lovely moments.

THE CEREMONY

The rain cleared in perfect time for the ceremony. The Horeb chapel is next door to the hotel, has beautiful light and is full of character. I spend this time in full candid mode and concentrate on documenting and telling the story.

We headed into the courtyard for a quick group shot before getting some more photographs in front of the iconic red entrance to the Cawdor hotel.

PORTRAITS

We headed up to Penlan Park which is a 5 minute walk away. On top of the little hill is a beautiful bandstand with views over the valley. I never want to take too much of the day up on portraits as I feel its so important couples enjoy with their guests so this is a lovely spot for a range of pictures within a short period of time.

Welcome to Wrexham!

Dan is a big Wrexham AFC fan and this was the theme of the tables! Welcome to Wrexham was one of my favourite shows this year and although wed didn't have Ryan Reynolds or Rob McElhenney there, John Hughes (who sang the song 'Welcome to Wrexham') was there before and after dinner providing the entertainment.

RECEPTION AND EVENING

I always think the Cawdor is ideal for weddings particularly in the Winter as it has plenty of warm cwtchy areas. It also transfers brilliantly into a party room once the food is cleared!

Llongyfarchiadau Rhian a Dan!
