From my experience, the majority of couples feel the same, but a wedding day is way too long to feel conscious about this non-stop, so I see it as my job as a photographer to make a couple feel comfortable enough to enjoy, let down their guard and show their personality. When this happens, it’s often what turns out to make the best photos. Natural moments of the two people in love that don’t give a hoot who’s watching.

The day started at their home in Mynyddygarreg before moving on to the ceremony and wedding at the Olde Barns in Penygraig. I really love a barn wedding as they always tend to have a relaxed fell to them and this venue is as good as they come when it comes to rustic charm.

Kim and Lloyd had loads of natural banter between them, so needless to say this was fun to photograph from the start to finish. We’d taken some couple photos previously at a nearby river which they did a smashing job of, but it’s after food when the party usually starts and this day was no exception. Safe to say, everyone was enjoying themselves as the sun started to set.
